Let he who has eyes see...
Just an interesting article I ran across. Let the reader use discernment.

Interesting times are upon us for sure. I am not really a big prophecy nut but I do find this current push towards a global economic power structure quite intriguing.
Daniel and Revelation anyone?
I have read the book of Daniel and Revelation many times. I am the first to admit that the language is largely symbolic and ambiguous. There simply are different interpretations one can come to even after a diligent study of the scriptures and related sources. But, one thing seems quite clear:
We are to have 7 major world powers that rule over the Jewish nation. After these seven kings have fulfilled their time, the world will unite. As far as I can tell (and I have read many different interpretations about this and some seem quite logical) The seven world powers that ruled over and/or dominated the Jewish nation (this is who the Bible was written to/for) are: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medio-Persia, Greece, Rome and the Anglo-American empire.
When the angel was giving John the vision of the apocalypse, John asked what the vision of the beasts meant. The angel told him that these beasts stood for 7 kings. Five of them have already fallen (Egypt through Greece). One was still in power (Rome) and there was to be one more dominant empire to rule over Gods people. It's true there have been many other empires in the region, the Ottoman empire for one, but I personally believe that the Anglo-American empire fits this better. We have had more influence over the world as a whole than the Ottomans ever did! A perfect Example is that the word Coca-Cola is one of the most recognized words in the world. We are everywhere and our global influence is indisputable. How long we remain this way is up for debate.
So what does this mean?
I don't know. But I do find it interesting that the Bible said that there would be 7 world powers that affect God's people then the world would globalize (against God). It also seems to indicate that this union would be economic in nature. It mentions we will throw our money in the streets and how this will seriously effect the traveling merchants (international bankers and the like ?) This might have seemed a bit extreme a few years ago but today's news is quite different. Why does this matter? Well, it's is this economic crash, this throwing our useless, devalued money into the streets that ushers in the 'mark of the beast'. This global economic system (or whatever) that we will have to use in order buy or sell.
Currently we are seeing an unprecedented and drastic devaluation of the dollar, and a huge push globally for a single global reserve currency - a correlation perhaps? I don't know but I am keeping an eye out...
I am interested in your comments regarding this. Drop me a line here and let me know your thoughts.

"There will be...earthquakes in various places" [Matthew 24:7]
Are we living in prophetic times? Are the weather patterns we see today a sign of things to come or simply the Earth going through its natural cyclic changes? To be honest, I don't know. But we should always keep awake to the events of our day and pay attention to the world around us.
